Eastern Communications specializes in developing and implementing the network testing scope of work. All scopes of work maximize the available manpower to provide results which are both accurate and timely.
An example of Eastern expertise in this area was the pre- and post-installation and extensive radiax system testing of the RF equipment installed as part of the restoration of PATH service between New Jersey and the World Trade Center in Manhattan.
Eastern Communications was the first service organization to respond after the Sept. 11th attack on the World Trade Center.
The first phase of the response was to provide replacement terminals and temporary RF connections to our customers (the New York State Police and the NYNJPA) to allow continued communication during the first critical hours of the response.
Additionally, within 24 hours of the attack Eastern had a complete replacement site operational at our site on the Chrysler Building for the New York State Police.
Eastern Communications has a long term lease on the 76th floor of the Chrysler Building in mid-town Manhattan.
In addition to the SMR operation Eastern Communications provides space for various public safety customers including the New York State Police and the New York New Jersey Port Authority. There are currently more than 50 transmitters in operation at Eastern’s Chrysler Building site.
