On March 28, 2011, Eastern was honored to sponsor a seminar, titled "How Public Safety Communications Have Changed Since 9/11",  hosted by the New York State Association of Chiefs of Police at the Cradle of Aviation Museum in Garden City, Long Island.

On behalf of NYSACOP, Eastern invited over 250 representatives of various public safety organizations from across the Tri-State region to the Event, more than half responded and attended the Seminar-Meeting.

Speakers at the Seminar include Chairman of Homeland Security Commission - Congressman Peter King, NYPD Deputy Chief Charles Dowd, Nassau County Executive Edward Mangano, and Dr. Dennis Martinex, Chief Technology Officer of Harris Corp., to name just a few.

The Event was well-perceived, media coverage from both local outlets and print media organizations that follow our public safety community were present including WCBS 880, WLNY TV 10/55 of Long Island. It was a big success for both the New York Association of Chiefs of Police and Eastern.

As always Eastern Communications is committed to providing you with the best in communications and we intend to put on more informative and educational events with similar subject matter sometime in the future.
